How Forces on the Fairways Supports Veterans Through Golf

Golf has a unique way of bringing people together. Beyond the competition and recreation, it encourages friendship, conversation, and personal growth. For military veterans, these connections can be especially meaningful. That is why The Palozola Foundation continues its commitment to serving veterans through the annual Forces on the Fairways Golf Tournament, an event that combines community support with a mission to improve the lives of those who have served our country.
Scheduled for Monday, September 14, 2026, at Bogey Hills Country Club, the tournament raises funds that support veteran-focused golf programs throughout the year. Every golfer, sponsor, volunteer, and donor helps make these initiatives possible while honoring the sacrifices made by members of the military.
The Story Behind The Palozola Foundation
The Palozola Foundation was founded in 2018 by golf professional Maria Palozola and her sister Sally Palozola Cherre. Inspired by the military service of their father, grandfather, and nephews, they established the Foundation with the goal of helping veterans improve their physical, mental, and emotional well-being through golf.
Since its creation, the organization has focused on developing programs that create lasting opportunities for veterans. By using golf as a platform, the Foundation encourages healthy lifestyles, meaningful friendships, and continued personal development in an environment that is both welcoming and supportive.
A Tournament That Creates Lasting Impact
While Forces on the Fairways offers participants an enjoyable day on the golf course, its purpose extends far beyond the tournament itself. Every dollar raised helps fund programs that benefit veterans throughout the year.
The Foundation has successfully hosted nine consecutive sold-out Forces on the Fairways tournaments, reflecting the strong support it receives from golfers, local businesses, and community organizations. Those contributions have allowed the Foundation to operate free golf leagues during the summer, fall, and winter for veterans across eight locations.
The organization also works alongside PGA HOPE to introduce veterans to golf through instructional clinics that welcome players of all experience levels. Accessibility remains another major priority, with adaptive golf carts and specialized range equipment helping veterans with mobility limitations enjoy the game more comfortably. The Foundation also provides support for amputee veterans who compete in golf tournaments across the country.
Together, these efforts demonstrate how a single fundraising event can create meaningful opportunities long after tournament day has ended.
A Full Day of Golf and Giving Back
The 2026 Forces on the Fairways Golf Tournament offers participants an enjoyable schedule filled with golf, entertainment, and opportunities to connect with others who support the veteran community.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch and the opening ceremony at 11:00 a.m. Golfers will then take part in a noon shotgun start before enjoying an afternoon on one of the area's premier courses. Following tournament play, guests can gather for appetizers, live music, and the announcement of auction results.
The event welcomes both foursomes and individual golfers, making it easy for anyone to participate while supporting an important cause.
Sponsors Play an Essential Role
The continued success of Forces on the Fairways depends on the generosity of sponsors who believe in the Foundation's mission. Their support allows veteran programs to expand while ensuring fundraising efforts remain successful year after year.
Businesses have multiple sponsorship opportunities available, including presenting, platinum, gold, silver, lunch, hole, putting green, and exclusive hole sponsorships. These partnerships not only provide recognition during the tournament but also directly contribute to programs that improve accessibility and increase participation for veterans.
Community involvement has been one of the driving forces behind the Foundation's continued growth, helping create opportunities that extend well beyond the golf course.
Supporting Veterans Beyond Tournament Day
The value of Forces on the Fairways lies in what happens after the final putt is made. The proceeds generated by the event allow veterans to continue participating in leagues, clinics, and adaptive golf programs throughout the year.
Golf provides an opportunity for veterans to remain active while building friendships with others who share similar experiences. These relationships often become an important source of encouragement and support as participants continue adjusting to life after military service.
By investing in accessible equipment and inclusive programming, The Palozola Foundation ensures that more veterans can experience these benefits regardless of physical ability.
Supporting Those Who Served
As the 2026 tournament approaches, Forces on the Fairways continues to demonstrate how local communities can come together to support those who have served our country. Every participant, sponsor, volunteer, and donor helps make a lasting impact through programs that promote wellness, friendship, and opportunity for veterans.
Clement Pre-Owned and Clement Auto Group as a whole is proud to recognize organizations that strengthen our communities and support America's veterans. The Forces on the Fairways Golf Tournament is an outstanding example of how a shared passion for golf can create meaningful change while honoring the service and sacrifice of military veterans.
